Soo... skipping all that trash about introductions and silly things such as "my hobbies", "my dislikes", "favorite colour", "embarrassing moments", etc... I'm plonking right down on the Blogger sofa, propping my feet up on the table - wait, no, I don't like that... Ha. Ha.
Right.... plonking right down on the Blogger sofa and making myself comfy...
Hey, I just avoid wasting space on flat, 2-D (or rather 1-D if it were possible) descriptions of my "personality". It's boring, and frankly, nobody wants to read a blog that's "just begun".
Sooooo.... ah, yes, the weather. Well, it was sweltering in Karachi today (35 degrees Celsius, max and humidity at 62%) and with out car A.C. out of "gas", we suffered "heat strokes" to some extent. My mother drove me back from college with my sisters in the backseat, and even after downing a cup each of CARBONATED FIZZ (no free publicity! :P), we were ogling (okay, I was ogling!) at other cars with their windows up - and chilly, dry environments inside!
I'm not exaggerating when I say we suffered "heat strokes". My mother came home, had lunch, and didn't go along well with it. The walls felt as if they were radiating heat. The fans were mutinous, in league with those treacherous walls too, I suppose. My mother (Amma) and I, both, found some refuge in her room... I didn't bother changing my uniform... I tried to eat... too hot, couldn't get it down... all my enzymes were on "emergency leave". I couldn't even sleep... okay, cut it, Ameera... it's too boring.
Undaunted.
We even ran out of beverages (other than water... but we ran out of cold water too)... I tried to combine some leftover Tang (publicity... pay up, Tang people) with lemon juice and a subcontinental concentrated drink called Rooh Afza (a sweet concoction made with different herbs, and diluted with water... it's deep pink, rather red, in colour). Anyway, the "juice" wasn't really very tasty, so don't bother trying to make it. It's not as if I made it for the first time... it's just that if there was enough Tang, it would have tasted yummy, as usual! Tang and Rooh Afza combine to produce a lovely, orangish-red colour... people ask us what flavour instant drink it is that we make for them... oops, I let out the "s e c r e t r e c i p e".
Okay, I'm bored now. I would write more... but... maybe tomorrow. I'm over-comfy now.
